Tarzan swings into your heart at NSMT!
The NSMT has brought Disney's Tarzan to life. Newly reworked and visually stunning this show is a great way to spend time with the family.
The show opens with a stunning boat scene told by the ensemble storytellers who later transform into Apes to complete the scene. The audience is asked to participate with their imaginations. filling in the vines and tress of the jungle. This show is visually stunning with a musical score you find your self singing along to.
Kala played by (Robyn Payne) sings to baby Tarzan the way only mother would. Having a baby boy myself I cried and felt her pain and her joy. Todd Alan Johnson (Kerchak) plays the leader role with a mighty fist their dynamic gives body to this well know life tale.
Brian Justin Crum a Broadway darling, swings into your heart with his smooth voice and piercing blue eyes. Effortlessly he is ape and man drawing you into his world and in one move sweeps Jane (Andrea Goss) and you off into the jungle.
Ms.Goss is superb in her performance as the wide eyed book worm, who gets in twined by the jungle and Tarzan's heart.
Terk (Christopher Messina) is the funny ring leader to the band of Ape misfits who in "Trash-in The Camp" swings and sings with acrobatic delight.
You will not be disappointed in this family tale of love, friendship and discovery. Bring tissues and the kids.
Tarzan is simply magical.
